About Us
IntelliStructures sells and installs structural insulated panels
(SIPs) for residential and commercial construction in the
eastern United States. IntelliStructures is dedicated to
providing quality, professional sales and installation of SIPs
and integrated framing components.
Corporate Bio
IntelliStructures was founded in 2003 by Charles H. Byrd III and
is based in Loudoun County, VA. For the past five years
IntelliStructures has been a part of an industry that that has
experienced phenomenal growth. IntelliStructures has been on the
leading edge of that growth operating with a dedication to
developing the SIP industry by enhancing techniques and best
practices in the field.
Charles has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech in
Geography. His background is in Geographic Information Sytems and
prior to 2003 Charles was developing mapping applications for the
internet with Terralogic, Inc. Many of the applications had
conservation themes such as water quality monitoring and others were
municipality related such as tax parcel management sytems.
It was about 1995 that Charles captured a love for timberframing
working as a carpenter for Blue Ridge Timberwrights and as a result
began the SIPs journey after seeing how they are a perfect solution
for wrapping timberframes.
Since 2003 IntelliStructures has helped dozens of clients
successfully complete over 100 projects and these numbers continue
to grow. These clients are spread out over the Mid-Atlantic states,
so we are able to mobilize and bring our operation to you.
